We are preparing our first CBAM report for EU shipments. The mill can give us energy consumption per heat, but not per product. What is the minimum acceptable dataset?

Answer

At minimum: production route, total electricity and fuel per tonne of crude steel, and the emission factor of the grid/fuel used. Per-product allocation is the next step; start with a documented allocation method and keep the mill's raw data on file.
