Magnetic 304 after bending — how do you explain it to customers?

王王质检·10/30/2026, 3:33:14 AM👁 261

Customers think magnetic stainless is fake. We explain strain-induced martensite, but some still reject the batch. How do you handle it?

Point them at the standard: strain-induced martensite is expected in cold forming. If they need non-magnetic, that is a grade decision (316/316L or annealed after forming), not a defect claim.
